Y3 Twycross Zoo Trip

By Natasha Khan on Sunday, June 4, 2017 in News, year 3. 3 Comments

To start our new topic Predators off with a bang Y3 pupils visited Twycross Zoo.  3M’s trip took place on the Friday which also happened to be the hottest day of the week (25 degrees Celsius) so the class was determined to have fun and learn a lot. We had a session with Jamie who told us about the different types of animals, how to categorise them, their diets and how their teeth can help tell us if they’re herbivores, carnivores or omnivores. With some spare time left, we went off exploring and spotted some zebras, giraffes, elephants and even a tortoise who was getting fed.

Can you identify the animals and if they’re herbivores, omnivores or carnivores?
