Keeping Safe Online
Technology is continuously changing, at the same time it is extremely important to ensure children are kept safe when using technology.
E-Safety is an important part of keeping children safe, at Al-Furqan Primary School we have comprehensive security measures in place in school, to monitor and safeguard pupils from potential dangers.
E-Safety awareness is spread across the school to all pupils and staff explaining and demonstrating how to stay safe and behave appropriately online.
We can only be successful in keeping children safe online if we work with parents to ensure the E-Safety message is consistent. It is important that parents speak to their children about how they can keep safe and behave appropriately online.
AFPS Safer Internet Day
Al-Furqan School ensures to maintain a whole school approach during ‘Safer Internet Day’. Children, staff and parents all have the opportunity to engage and be involved with creating online safety awareness.
The children’s e-safety workshops delivered by Unique voices, started off with an assembly empowering them to explore how they can promote safe usage on the internet and be innovative , respectful and creative in the process. This was then followed up with workshops for each class allowing them to further explore the E-Safety themes and roles related to the performance encouraging them to make safe informed decisions.
